Since the beginning, Marunaka has dedicated themselves to making woodworking machinery, and the invention and development of the Super Surfacer and the knife grinder are the foundation of their business.
What is Super Surfacing? Super surfacers are specialized for final surface finishing which, by using a razor-sharp knife, makes the finished surface smooth and shimmering. This way you can obtain the most refined finished surface, which is smooth enough for use without any finish. The thickness of the shaved sheet is approximately 0.06 to 0.08 mm.
These Super Surfacer are designed to perform multiple passes or trips over the surface in a round-trip manner. This approach allows for more comprehensive coverage and uniform finishing, especially on larger or more complex surfaces.
The “One-way Feed Type” features a continuous, single-direction feed that ensures steady material delivery, ideal for consistent surface finishing. In contrast, the “One-way Reciprocation” employs a back-and-forth movement, allowing for more controlled and precise application, especially suitable for detailed or delicate surfaces.
